Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace


As most of you may or may not know, AI (artificial intelligence) has been an up and coming technological service that has been an addition to the workplace. Artificial intelligence is basically a software that is demonstrated and ran by machines rather than humans. Most employers do not feel threatened by AI. According to MetLife, 56% of employers demonstrated a positive view on automation technologies like Artificial Intelligence, analytics, and even robots. Although a big percentage of employers are not threatened by AI, some businesses and employers do not feel the same. Some feel as though, AI is not capable of delivering reliable and sufficient data in order to ensure that algorithms are acting on the right information. 
AI can be used to predict success rates for human relationships. For example, relationship bots powered by AI could be used in predicting the success of human relationships, trustworthiness, and other qualities that normally would be deciphered through personal and direct experience. AI will also plays a big role in deciding the best candidates for a specific job role or task. I find it amazing how we have reached a point in time where bots ran by artificial intelligence are basically taking over the workplace and have the ability to do a humans job. 
The only concern that I have about AI is what will happen to all the employees that work for a company or business that implements AI into their workplace? Will those employees lose their jobs now that company's are using AI to do certain tasks that were once ran by human employees? Although AI is still in its early stages of development, there is a lot of AI being used today for specific areas such as fraud detection, billing systems and data integration. In the future, AI will start to appear in other areas where it can assist professionals on the job which is a good thing because it will not only help employees work more efficiently, but it will be able to detect or find any errors that were made a long the way.
