Purchasing Organic Food On A Budget

Image
Purchasing Organic Food On A Budget  We are constantly being told about the importance of eating organic. It has many various health benefits including foods with fewer pesticides, chemicals, and less antibiotics. But unfortunately, eating organic is not always cheap, therefore, it can be hard for everyone to buy organic products. As students we can all relate to the struggle of trying to save money in any way that we can. So I am going to discuss ways that you can buy organic products on a budget. Influencer In The Communications Business

The twitter account that I recently started following is Tham Khai Meng’s account. He is the Co-Chairman and Worldwide Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy & Mather, and he is known to be one of the world’s most influential people in the communications business. After going through some of his tweets, I came across an interesting tweet where Khai tweeted a diagram that explains how storytelling affects the brain. In his tweet, he states, “when we want to persuade someone and move them, we talk to their heart not their head, using stories. As communications people, we are first and foremost story tellers.” He then backs up his statement by providing factual information for his followers to understand how the different components of the brain are affected when storytelling. According to Khai, neural coupling allows the listener to turn the story into their own ideas and experience. With that being said, advertisers are creating stories and presenting the world with creative and well th...

Domino's Giveaway

Image
Recently Domino's had a giveaway of $10,000 cash through the use of Instagram. All customers had to do to enter was to post a picture of their pizza order and use the hashtag '#PieceOfThePieContest.' Through the use of social media, Domino's both excited its customers and marketed their pizza simultaneously. Many people began to post their pictures of the pizza with the hashtag given. This is exciting for customers because it allows them to feel connected to the company, and of course, because they have a shot at winning $10,000. Along with this, the exposure received from this contest was basically free marketing because of how many people began seeing Domino's all over their Instagram news feed.  This giveaway definitely would want me to eat at Domino's. It shows that they are in touch with their customer base, and also care about them. $10,000 might not be a huge hit on a large company such as Domino's, but they understand that ...

Image
Hey Busch Beer- Take me to Daytona! You may not drink Busch Beer and you may not be interested in going to the Daytona 500, but Busch’s recent social media marketing campaign had many people wanting to do both. The premise was simple- Busch was sending 500 people to the Daytona 500, choosing from people who posted videos on social media of them finding the lucky checkered flag beer can in a regular case of beer. So why would I want to drink Busch Beer? First, you have the fun and excitement of trying to find that special checkered flag beer can, which feels like winning a mini lottery if you do.  Why not drink Busch over another drink if you can possibly win something? After finding that lucky can though is when the real competition started.  Many people posted their celebration videos to Instagram and Facebook, the latest one being more absurd and flashier than the last.  By the end, it wasn’t even about scoring the trip to the Day...
