The twitter account that I recently started following is Tham Khai Meng’s account. He is the Co-Chairman and Worldwide Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy & Mather, and he is known to be one of the world’s most influential people in the communications business. After going through some of his tweets, I came across an interesting tweet where Khai tweeted a diagram that explains how storytelling affects the brain. In his tweet, he states, “when we want to persuade someone and move them, we talk to their heart not their head, using stories. As communications people, we are first and foremost story tellers.” He then backs up his statement by providing factual information for his followers to understand how the different components of the brain are affected when storytelling.
